Pumpkin Ridge opened for play in 1992. Though it hardly seems possible at such as young age, both Ghost Creek and Witch Hollow have established a rich and storied history by playing host to many of golf’s most prestigious championships.
Hailed as one of the nation's premier semi-private golf courses, Ghost Creek's Robert Cupp-designed layout emulates traditional golf course architecture with gently rolling terrain and a creek that reappears throughout. Ghost Creek was home to the NIKE TOUR Championships in 1993 and 1994 and was rated in 2005 in Golf Magazine's Top 100 Places You Can Play.
The 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship at Witch Hollow will be remembered by all as the site where Tiger Woods became the first player in the history of the Championship to win three consecutive titles. Steve Scott finished five up after the morning 18 of the Championship match. Tiger answered back, however, with a 7-under 65 on the second 18 to get the match to all square through 36 holes. All who were there, witnessed his signature 300+ yard drives and two miraculous putts, a curling 35 footer for eagle on 11 and another 30 foot birdie putt on the 17th which eventually led him to victory after 38 hard fought holes.
Entry fee of $125 includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, scoring, prize fund, and trophies.
